Come work with Val and Jen on labs that use video cameras to take data.
We will use Logger Pro software to analyze data and create mathematical
models. We will use graphical analysis concepts to develop equations that
represent the relationships we are investigating. We will share our
results on whiteboards as we model the behaviors we expect students to
exhibit. We will have both a beginner’s class and a master class running.
The first part of the morning we will work together to develop/review the
skills a student must have to use this method paying attention to the
flexibility of Logger Pro software. Then we will divide into two groups.
The first group will continue to explore basic methods via labs needed
to implement video analysis in the classroom. The second group will
explore a sequence of (hopefully) different labs that use the video
cameras. We will reconvene and share our labs results as the day comes to
a close. The goal will be to share as many labs as possible that might be
used with video cameras.
