March 15, 2007: Best of PTRA Summer 2006

Topic: The topics will range on this workshop. First we will do a lab with slinkies that finds a fair relationship between tension and velocity (it surprised me on the use of the slinky). Next we will build a simple Ping Pong Ball Color Mixer to put in kids' hands. We will "play" and investigate a toy from the physics teachers sharing. We'll look at a bench system of a convex and concave lens and its use as a practicum. We will cap off the evening with a lab or two from the EM Spectrum- Window to the Universe Book.

Cost: $15 - This is the cost that is returned to PTRA if you pay it individually. (It is $30 if you school pays for it and I will give a receipt.)
